Scott McKay is part of our intercessory prayer community here at Gateway. The Lord has given him a passion for prayer and Scott would like to share an idea he has with our church.

Given that our church is expanding and we are moving forward in Christ, it has become clear to me the absolute necessity of praying for Pastor Aaron and the staff for a few minutes DAILY. I would ike that everyone who wanted to commit to, say,  10 minutes a day chose one time to pray. (You may have to juggle that around at first.)
My hope is that , there will be enough of us that our pastors will have a team of people praying for them every waking minute of the day- or at the very least some time during every hour. (Actually, one day I’d love to have enough people to cover all 24 hours.)

 Finally, I like the wording of the old King James version of James 5:16 which says,” The effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous [ that’s us, in Christ] AVAILETH MUCH.” And because our prayers do accomplish much, the enemy will try repeatedly to prevent us from wielding such a dangerous but powerful weapon. But  I decree: we will prevail.  Our pastors are worth it. Let's do it!!!
